Biography

I’ve always been in competitive athletics.  Whether competitive swimming, football, or cycling, I have always thought of myself as an athlete.  Work priorities and travel took me away from sport for many years.  However, I have always had a love of bike racing, watching Greg LeMond make history and then later Lance Armstrong dominate the snobby European peloton.  A few years ago, I found out about the SCCA/Starbucks team through my friends at Starbucks who raced on the team.  I could not stand listening to their adventures without having to experience suffering on my own.  Last year and this year I’m honored to be elected as President of the team.  As a member of the management team at Starbucks I hope to bring the drive and passion to this team and enable them to be the best racers they want to be.
