Biography

Jill fell in love with bikes as a teenager and had more posters of Andy Hampsten and Greg Lemond on her walls than Duran Duran. She raced road and mountain bikes in college, but after a long hiatus from racing she found the rush again in 2005, racing on the track and singlespeed cyclocross. For the past 2 years she has been battling chronic fatigue, which has kept her out of far too many races, but things are looking up in 2008 and she is aching to hit the lineup again. Jill plans to support her teammates on the road this spring and summer and her primary focus will be on the track as a Cat 3.

When not racing in full kit regalia she is an avid bike commuter, covets wool clothing and steel frames, enjoys riding around the city at night with friends, and finds excuses to add more bikes to her stable of six. Her favorite bike is her beloved pink Bridgestone fixie, Rosemary, with whom she once toured the San Juan Islands and lower Vancouver Island with full panniers and made her legs “stronger than oak.”
