Team: Nancy Serejch
Biography
Nancy rode bikes with her two brothers up and down the streets of Texas when they were kids. Little did she know bicycle racing would be in her future. After college she started doing 5k runs for fitness and then decided to get a bike so she could do a local bike tour the NEXT week. What fun that 50 mile tour was until she got home and felt like she had been beaten up and vowed not to ride again “if this is what it felt like every time!”
Fortunately, Nancy found a good group of cyclists to teach her the ropes and eventually got into racing–enjoying stage races the most and even dabbling in cross-country a bit. After a little racing in her sunny and warm home state of Texas, Nancy moved to Seattle where she is still trying to get used to the lack of sun. However, after some time away from riding and adjusting to her new surroundings, Nancy is ready for the competition, camaraderie and traveling that goes along with racing. This is her second season back and she is especially excited and proud to be part of the Starbucks Cycling Team.
